I studied Film and TV Production at Galatasaray University in Istanbul after I graduated from Lycée Saint Joseph. Later on, I gave up my graduate studies in philosophy and completed my mandatory military service.

During my undergraduate studies,I founded and became the first president of the Photography Club of my university. Right before I was going to work at SIPA Press Photography Agency, I shot a short film as a graduation project and fell in love with filmmaking almost instantly.

Before I moved to New York City in 2006, I worked as an assistant director in several commercials. I stayed in NYC until 2009 and worked in different projects during that time. I again became an intern, a production assistant and assistant director respectively. But soon enough, I got promoted and became a director.

In 2011, I returned to Turkey to work as a Second Unit Director in feature film ‘Anadolu Kartalları’. I flew more than 20 hours with Learjet to shoot fighter jets. I still think it was the most awesome shooting experience ever.

In mid-2012, I moved back to Istanbul/Turkey and started shooting TV commercials.

Since late 2016, I have barely directed TV commercials, instead, I have been developing and producing unscripted TV shows;  from conception and deal-making to pilot, production supervision and delivery.

I have worked in close partnership with Sera Film Services Istanbul/Turkey, using my creative talent and operational expertise to produce unscripted content that bring my vision and strategies to life thus we partnered up for various TV show projects;  alas 3 of them have been presented in the past 4 MIP Markets in Cannes and 1 of them was optioned to a well known US Content Company.

In January 2020, after 8 years living in Istanbul / Turkey, I have moved back to United States and relocated to Houston, TX with my family.
